Rocky Road Brownies

This is the greatest, most easiest way to heighten a boxed brownie mix. Personally, I love boxed brownies. I find them to be tasty, chewy, moist and just the right chocolate taste. Not to mention, it is super easy to put together. But, we don’t want to be boring…

By adding the marshmallows and almonds to this boxed brownie, it takes it up to a whole new level. You can also use this same technique and swap out the almonds for crunched graham crackers and you have yourself a s’mores brownie. So versatile, right!?

So grab your favourite boxed brownie mix because these rocky road brownies are worth gossiping about!

Rocky Road Brownies

Yield: 16 large brownies

INGREDIENTS:
1 boxed brownie mix, prepared as listed on box
1 pkg large marshmallows
1/4 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup melted chocolate

DIRECTIONS:
1. Prepare the brownie mix as listed on box and put into baking pan.
2. Bake according to directions, but reduce the time by 10 minutes.
3. Remove brownies from oven and place the marshmallows on top of the borwnies in one layer. Sprinkle on almonds. Return to oven.
4. Bake an additional 10 minutes.
5. If marshmallows are not brown enough, change setting to broil and broil for 5 minutes watching carefully so they do not burn.
6. Remove from oven and drizzle with melted chocolate.
7. Allow to fully cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
