Ramen Bowl
I have seen and heard about ramen noodle soups for awhile now but I have yet to try one. I do love ramen noodles so I got to researching. I didn’t realize how easy it was to make it at home!
The only tough part about assembling the ramen bowl is that there are many small components. You have to cook up everything separately and then assemble the soup. But, what is awesome about this soup is it is completely custom built. You can choose whatever toppings you like. It would be great for a dinner party as well, you can prep the broth (which, lets face it, was the easiest part) and then provide all different topping. How fun is that!?
I created my bowl with all my fav toppings and flavours. Hope this inspires you to get creative at home and create a ramen bowl that is worth gossiping about!
Ramen Bowls
Yeild: 4 servings
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups chicken broth (homemade or store-bought)
2 cups water
3 tbsp soy sauce
1-2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Sprinkle garlic powder
2 chicken breast, sliced very thinly
1 pkg assorted mushrooms, sliced
1 small head broccoli, chopped and steamed
4 eggs, cooked medium
2 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp cilantro, chopped (optional)
2 packages ramen, discard soup powder
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a pot, place the chicken broth, water, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and mushrooms. Bring to a boil and then let simmer covered for about 20 minutes until flavours marry and mushrooms are cooked. Drain out mushrooms and set broth and mushrooms aside separately.
2. Meanwhile, saute up the sliced chicken in some oil and season with salt and pepper. Cook just until chicken is cooked through. Set aside.
3. To assemble the soup bowls, Pour broth into a bowl. Add half a ramen package of noodles. Top with a quarter of the chicken, mushrooms, and broccoli. Add one medium egg cut in half. Sprinkle with green onion and cilantro. Enjoy!
